Carrie is eclectic, but effortlessly cool. Wears her heart on her sleeve and shows her personality and passion in fashion equally. Manolo Blahniks paired with thrifted skirts and tiny tanks. Accessories like ties, chunky jewelry and her famous Fendi baguettes. All just to grab lunch with the girls or go on her next date with Big (Aiden, Alexander, Power Lad etc...) Stylist for the SATC series Patricia Fields told British Vogue that Carrie's character was "never fully described to her" unlike Miranda, Charlotte and Samantha and to me, this seems very "Carrie".

Always mixed with her emotions and where her relationships were going (we've all been there)- shows in the blend of patterns and styles she sports. High end fashion paired with second hand, vintage pieces and occasionally dressing in theme- The Jackie O and Suffern, PA era for example- is her specialty. Her relatability allows us as viewers who have similar ideas when it comes to styling, who dream to have a lifestyle like Bradshaw feel connected to the character and who she is. Working for Vogue, going to fashion shows and parties, ringing bells at the NYSE and falling in love. Overall, living a seamlessly glamorous and romantic life in New York City - with a rent-controlled apartment to boot.

So, she can be a bit delusional.. and has financial and relationship mishaps.. and prioritizes cosmos and magazines over cooking a meal.. (who hasn't?) - her style is still popular today because it's attainable and relatable. The head in the clouds, lover girl mentality allows her to have a unique way of expressing herself through fashion which just proves that being your authentic self never goes out of style.
